HAWXX

HAWXX are a shapeshifting, punk infused alt-metal band made up of Anna (lead vocals/ guitar), Hannah (guitar / backing vocals), Jess (drums/ backing vocals) and Julia (bass/ backing vocals). We are based in London but hailing from Greece, Wales, England and Italy. 

”This band is our chaos and our catharsis. We write songs about oppressive beauty standards, mental health struggles, violence against women, the unfolding ecological catastrophe and being a sensitive lil soul but also a norty gremlin. We are a feminist band and it is our aim to be part of changing the landscape of the rock and metal world and for our gigs to be a collective experience of love and rage, holding women and queer people at the center. 

2023 has seen us play Download Festival to a packed out Dogtooth Stage and we have recently toured with Tremonti across the UK, Ireland and Netherlands.We have since been endorsed by Jackson Guitars, Rotosound Strings and Victory Amplifiers. In recent times, we have also won the PRS Women Make Music Award, played an exclusive performance at the Heavy Music Awards. Hannah and Anna were also listed in Metal Hammers List of “13 metal guitarists that will change the world” 

The band’s debut album will be out at the end of 2023.
